Hmmm….a possible WordPress blurp…errr..burp?

Not 15 minutes ago I started a new blog to capture a different thread of thought.

And maybe its just me, but I would think that until an address comes into existence, no one in theory would have such a non-existent address set up in such a way that the following event happened:

I happened to rove my eyes to the RSS Feed box on the Main Dashboard and found multiple links already being displayed.

“Why that’s odd,” I thought to myself, so I decided to click the “See All” link and was taken to the following list of links:

(200+ links deleted)

Now. I’m not keeping these attached to my blog* because I have obviously zero idea where they came from, but does anyone know how something like that happens? Was it just a incidental blurp of WordPress Wiring gone loony or did someone burp up their keyword rankings because someone took this blog name live? (I’m thinking it doesn’t matter who opens an account…lists of possibilities are as easy as spreadsheet 1, 2, 3.)

*  Update on August 7, 2008:  Although I was dreading the idea of possibly having to click each and every check box in order to disconnect them, real life called me right after I posted this.  So when I returned a few hours later, they all were gone!  PHEW!  I’m the type that if I absolutely must repetitively click for some purpose, I’d much prefer doing it while playing Alice Greenfinger’s or Chocolatier or some other game!
